After Dana White passed on him, Brendan Loughnane signs with PFL
Last month, UFC president Dana White passed on signing Brendan Loughnane for shooting a last-second takedown on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Up until the takedown, the fight was highly entertaining and fast-paced. White’s decision to pass on Loughnane (17-3) was met with heavy criticism from fight fans, who took to social media to rally behind the British featherweight.
“It’s not like I got this guy locked up, and he’s all locked up, and I didn’t take him,” White said in an interview with ESPN. “He’s available to any other promoter in the world. So if I’m wrong, knock yourself out.”
Another promotion has.
On Tuesday, Loughnane (17-3) signed a contact to join PFL. He announced the news on Twitter.

The move comes on the heels of Loughnane inking a new deal to be represented by First Round Management. Manager Malki Kawa told ESPN that Loughnane is likely to make his debut in a non-tournament bout in October.
